North Cork is famous for its horses and thoroughbred stud farms, and boasts the origin of the steeple chase. It is possible to enjoy the adrenaline of horse race meets at Mallow Race Course, or at one of the many Point to Points which are held throughout the area. There are fantastic Horse Fairs around the county and there is horse riding available in Mallow.
